About EmergySystems<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I established EmergySystems around 2001 as a place to make information and resources on emergy and systems ecology widely available. For many years, the site served as a repository for publications, lectures, data, and other materials related to emergy and the study of human and natural systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several years ago, I closed the site and transferred its accumulated resources to the Emergy Society website, where those materials remain available. EmergySystems has now been reestablished with a somewhat different purpose. Rather than duplicate the earlier archive, this site will provide new materials and resources developed since that transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will also provide a place for the continuing exploration and discussion of ideas. The Reflections<\/strong> series will present essays on emergy, systems ecology, economics, information, and related subjects\u2014some extending established concepts and others exploring questions that are still developing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
